Title: Great - with digital connection Date: August 14, 2009
Review:I'll keep it simple. The #1 most important thing about this monitor is to use the DVI connection, not the analog. With an analog connection the screen showed a pulsating flicker. Sometimes it was minimal, sometimes it was very apparent and became distracting / annoying.

Using the DVI connection, the display is noticeably crisper w/ no hint whatsoever of the flicker problem.

Overall the display is bright, shows rich colors and pretty deep blacks. The display seems very fast and shows no signs of blurred motion.

Also - make sure to use the color balancing app that comes with the monitor to adjust the colors. It makes a noticable difference.

Title: Great Monitor Date: July 19, 2009
Product Uses: great colors sharpness and contrast, easy to assemble, easy to calibrate, great price $179 (free shipping) arrived in 5 days

Review:I use this monitor primarily for photo editing and it has great definition and colors. I am using mine in analog mode since my laptop does not have a DVI output.

I calibrated it with spyder and it looks great and extremely sharp.

I went from a Samsung 19" wide screen to this 23" and it seems like a huge jump but not too big for my desk.

I use this in a darkened room for photo editing and if you think it is too bright, you probably need to calibrate it.

Cons:
I had a little bit of a problem with it straight out of the box. When I adjusted my pc settings to use the highest resolution, the text was jittery. I got fed up and used the reset settings in the firmware and it started to work fine and has since.

It's a great monitor

Title: First time with Dell ! Date: July 9, 2009
Review:I'm very satisfied with this monitor to say the least. This is going on my wife's desk/slingbox setup.
Maybe I'm not super-critical but the quality is superb and combined with the great price, < $160 shipped, I wish I had bought 2! Dell blew me away when I ordered it on a Monday afternoon and it was here waiting for me on Wednesday....with free shipping....good grief, Thanks Dell!

Title: Great Monitor Date: July 9, 2009
Review:Pros:
-Excellent picture quality
-Very bright
-Great colors
-50,000:1 Contrast ratio
-Matte screen, so no reflection problems
-Very attractive bezel, matches my Samsung TV

Cons:
-Settings need some adjustment out of the box
-Can be too bright in a dark room, must change settings
-No integrated speakers
-No HDMI (although can use a HDMI-to-DVI converter, but without the audio)
-16:9 ratio a bit strange coming from 16:10 monitors.

I use it with a Mac Mini... if you do, change the color settings to custom, and run the calibration tool with a Gamma of 2.2. Anyone complaining about their colors should use a tool (software and/or hardware) to calibrate the colors for any monitor... especially if you intend to do any photo editing for print.
