Review:Pros:
Light weight, smooth key stroke, and great speakers. The processor is really fast, and I love how fast it comes on and connects to the internet.

Cons:
I should have gotten the web cam installed, when I purchased it. Sometimes it sounds like it is about to over heat, but it has never done so.

Overall it is a good laptop, and I would recommend it to another person.

Title: Nothing but trouble Date: August 19, 2009
Review:I purchased an Inspiron 1420 & Studio in 02/09. I use them specifically for a small business. The Inspiron has crashed twice and no one has a reason why. I just lose all information and have to reinstall after Dell repairs it a day & a half later. The screen is very dull and impossible to read if you are in a well lighted room. All adjustments are maxed out. It MUST be plugged in to read the screen. By far the most troubling computer I have ever purchased.
